A Red Centre Experience

Day 1: Arrive Alice Springs

  • This morning on arrival in Alice Springs, make your way from the airport to your hotel, with time free to relax and freshen up
  • This afternoon at 2:00pm, you are collected from the hotel for your afternoon Alice Springs Town Tour
  • Attractions include the Royal Flying Doctor Base where visitors will see a film (which outlines the dream of John Flynn), Panorama Guth (a 360° oil painting which has to be seen to be believed), School of the Air, The Alice Springs Telegraph Station and the site of the "Alice Spring"
  • The view from Anzac Hill will complete your tour
  • Overnight: Alice Springs Resort

Day 2: Alice Springs - Western MacDonnell Ranges Full Day Tour (L)

  • The MacDonnell's are full of enchanting gorges, leafy rivers, spinifex slopes, ancient cycads, rare plants and fauna
  • Imbued with the culture of a thousand generations of people, these desert mountains are the wettest parts of the central Australian deserts, harboring oases of animals and plants alike
  • We will visit Tylers Pass for spectacular views over Gosse Bluff (Tnorala), a 130 million year old comet crater and a complex sacred site to the Arrente people; Redbank Gorge, a stunning water polished chasm that Redbank creek has cut through the MacDonnell Ranges; Ormiston Gorge and Ellery Creek, with their stunning display of geological history
  • Also included is a picnic lunch
  • Overnight: Alice Springs Resort

Day 3: Alice Springs - Depart

  • This morning make your way at leisure to the airport to connect with your departure flight
